In 2024 today I am in my early 30s And the fact is half of it was spent sleepless.
One day in my high school year, I asked my mom why I can’t sleep. And I just realized that my head was simply asking questions this whole time. It’s loud. It made me can’t sleep.
Then I went to law school and sitting in a philosophy of law class, prompted to another heavy question: egg or chicken first? So I think this was something.
And then I got into a communication agency where I learned so much about communicating thoughts, understanding context, interpretation and so on, and realize that how bad we are at interpreting and communicating which led is into misunderstanding, separation, fight, war, etc.
So, unconsciously, I kept learning to do research, a fancy word of ‘a process to understand’.
I learn methods, etc, and got into tech companies so I could learn more through ux research.
All those years, helped me to learn how to understand things. Including what I believe.
It’s beneficial. So much.
So when I believe in something, I will do it. Also not do something I dont believe, including to not believe what I haven’t try understand, at least.
This “understand”, help me to be more compassionate. Tolerate. Patient.
Beyond that it help me to stay alive, have purpose, be myself, and more.
Because I understand.
And then I believe, then I do it.
So, I always encourage people around me that if you believe it, then do it. If you really understand it (the base), therefore you believe it, just do it and you’ll get my back.
I escaped from the rat race pursuing bigger and challenging stuff out there so I’ll have the ability and capacity to keep encouraging it.
Because I believe the world will be more peaceful, if the people understand what they believe, and do what they believe.
