It’s a crystal clear that life and death is a pure destiny. But the rest? It’s ora et labora.

I’ve learned what ora et labora is back in 2020. While it has the literal meaning, the way i see it is when we combine the power of ‘efforts’ and ‘pray’.

Since then, i no longer believe when someone said “bukan rejeki kamu”.

Like..then what is? What is not?

Oh, you know what? No mortal will ever have a chance to know what. Because only the Almighty have the list and only He can access it.

So what we can do is what we can control: ‘effort’ & ‘pray’.

Still not working? Keep praying, keep trying.

But don’t get me wrong. ‘Trying’ doesn’t mean to simply/blindly/foolishly trying. Learn from the scientist: when we make an attempt, record it, measure it. When the results shows, evaluate and improve the next attempt, until we find the ‘how’.

In this stage, we will keep trying and finally find the how only if we have a strong ‘why’.

That is why, understanding that beside life and death is about ora et labora will be the first foundation of our journey.
